Sam & Dan were married at the absolutely gorgeous Hanbury Wedding Barns in Derbyshire. We had the perfect combination of dramatic stormy looking skies and gorgeous summer sun all day which made for some great photographs. It was my first time at Hanbury and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
I arrived at Hanbury Barns to find Sam and the bridal party sorting some final touches around the venue before getting underway with hair and makeup in the bridal suite, its so good having it on site and with Hollywood style mirrors and a fridge for the champagne… what more could you need!
Dan and the groomsmen arrived in plenty of time and after a few pictures with them it was time for a first look for Sam’s dad as she was in her wedding dress. Sam looked absolutely incredible and took great pleasure reducing her dad to tears.
Waiting for Sam to walk down the aisle on her dads arm I couldn’t help notice that Dan was very chilled out but his groomsmen were doing a lot of nervous pacing haha! A gorgeous ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends, rings exchanged followed by their fist kiss and before we knew it we were back outside for the confetti.
The team at Hanbury Barns are absolutely brilliant and after reception drinks and cakes we had a relaxed wander around the grounds to get some gorgeous pictures of just the two of them. I love the original features that are everywhere you look at Hanbury Barns, the red brick walls and big wooden doors make for stunning backdrops and kept us busy for ten minutes until it was time for the wedding breakfast, I need to mention just how amazing the food looked!
For the last few photographs of the day we headed out into late afternoon sun to wander in he fields behind the venue. We got some lovely natural photographs which ended up with Sam dragging Dan through the field as fast as she could run after spotting a giant spider haha!
Thanks to you both for being so brilliant on the day, I really enjoyed it… hope this sneak preview brings back lots of happy memories and I’ll be in touch again as soon as your full gallery is ready.
