When do we meet with you?

If you would like to have a catchup before deciding whether to book in with me I can set up a Zoom or Skype call for a convenient time, it’s always great to hear more about your big day and answer any questions you may have.

There’s absolutely no pressure at all and you don’t have to make any decisions there and then, take as long as you need and as as many questions as you wish :-)

Once your dates is booked in we meet up face to face around a month before your wedding day to go through your full consultation.

It’s the perfect time to grab a coffee and go through all the details of your amazing day. We can discuss any special requests, put together group shots and all of the other timings for your wedding day to ensure everything runs like a dream.

Can we give you a list of "must-have" group photographs?

I work closely with all of my couples to put together your perfect list of group shots for wedding family photographs.

I would encourage you to keep the group numbers reasonable as your guests will be eager to loosen their ties and relax after the ceremony.

As part of the face to face consultation we will have all the group shots nailed down in advance so I can help take care of the co-ordination on the day and you can both relax.

Can other people take photographs during the wedding?

Of course! It's your special day and I wouldn't dream of insisting that guests don’t take photographs.

The only real exception would be if a guest is taking snaps of the formal group pictures over my shoulder, we don’t want people in groups looking different directions in all of your photographs.

Many of my couples also ask the vicar/registrar/celebrant to request guests don’t take photographs during the ceremony to avoid a sea of mobile phones held in front of faces or guests holding the dreaded iPad out into the aisle as you make you grand entrance but that’s completely your call.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Most couples book 12 - 24 months in advance so if you know your date and have booked your venue don’t hang around as your chosen wedding photographer should be next on your list.

If you would just like to check availability get in touch anytime.

Is all day coverage really all day?

Yes 100%! I provide an all day coverage wedding photography package because I don't want my couples to have to compromise or worry about their schedule.

I offer a full ten hours of coverage, arrive a little while before the morning prep kicks off so you can relax and then I stay by your side right through to the evening celebrations!

When will we receive our wedding photographs?

Every photograph in your wedding gallery is edited by me in my style to ensure consistency, I don’t contract out any of my editing.

I provide you with some sneak previews super quick after your wedding day, within just two or three days so you have some lovely photographs to share with friends and family.

Your full high resolution online wedding gallery will be available within just 28 days and the USB set containing super high resolution images and your free professional prints follow around 30 days afterwards.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?

I have comprehensive £1m public liability cover with a professional insurer. If your venue requires a certificate I can provide one directly to them on request.

How do we book with you?

Booking a wedding engagement shoot in

Thats easy, I offer a low deposit to secure your date and then the balance can be paid anytime up to 14 days before your wedding date.

There is also a very simple online contract for you to check over (I’ve got it down to just three pages and it’s all in plain English!)

Your wedding date is not secured until the deposit has been paid.

What Cameras do you use?

The camera is probably the least important part of making beautiful photographs but what does matter is resilience!

I shoot your wedding with two professional camera bodies and the very best professional grade lenses. I have a third backup camera ‘just incase’ and all of my cameras have two memory card slots, so every single image I take of your big day is simultaneously recorded to two separate memory cards, that way if one develops a problem nothing is lost.

I have ensured as far as possible, no matter what happens, your images are safe and technical issues will not get in the way of capturing your wedding day.

For those interested in the technical bits… I use:

  • Three Sony A7 iii Cameras

  • Sony 16-35 GM f2.8

  • Sony 24-70 GM f2.8

  • Sony 70-200 GM f2.8

  • Sony 200 - 600 G

  • Sigma 35 F1.4 ART

  • DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone

  • DJI Mavic Mini 2 drone

  • An array of off camera lighting
