Snapping in my free time

Snapping in my free time

I don’t usually do blog posts that aren’t wedding related but over the last few months of ‘Zoom’ chats with lovely couples I often get asked what else I like to photograph when I’m not covering beautiful weddings. Well, my two main passions are getting out into the Peak District chasing sunsets and exploring our towns and cities for interesting views.

I have been very lucky to have still photographed some amazing weddings in 2020 despite the pandemic and had plenty of busy periods working with venues and my amazing couples moving remaining 2020 weddings into 2021/22 as brides and grooms had to re-arrange their plans affected by the tier restrictions. I have also had the pleasure of lots of new video call consultations and bookings which is absolutely lovely, chatting almost daily with excited couples looking to the future with positivity and excitement!

So if you would like to see what else I like to photograph below are a few of my favourite personal snaps from 2020. It started with a little European break then a family trip to Wales and with the constant in and out of tier restrictions for and Nottingham and Derby we decided to try and grab a few quick getaways here and there in Birmingham and London for a few days when rules allowed. There are a few from my local area too, snapped whilst out on daily exercise.

I have to say thanks to my lovely wife Sam for her patience too… she’s forever chatting away to me as we walk only to turn around and find my 100ft back stood taking a snap haha!

I hope you enjoy the photographs :-)
